Google to translate over 100 billion words a day

The giant search engine, Google, has just released a new campaign called “Be together, not the same” that presents how Google Translate app has improved communication between people, breaking all language barriers. According to this new commercial, the service is now generating translation for over 100 billion words a day, where the most popular phrases translated are “how are you?”, “thank you” and “I love you”.

Google Translate is, without a doubt, one of the most used translation apps that comes with plenty of useful features, such as picture translation, offline / handwriting support or automatic voice translation. There is also a Word Lens integration which lets users to translate a word from one language to another by pointing out your smartphone’s camera in a specific direction.
