Commonly known as Lionbridge, it is the world’s leading company in translation and localization services, including website translations and other solutions offered to clients. Lionbridge Technologies Inc., a provider of globalization services has announced on Wednesday that it signed a new big contract for translation services with the pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline.
This four-year contract is considered to be one of the largest contracts for Lionbridge and it might worth up to $100 million. According to the company’s CEO, Rory Cowan, GlaxoSmithKline previously collaborated with various organizations, until decided to sign this exclusive agreement which will provide translation services for more than 90 languages.
Lionbridge was up 2 percent in the stock market last week and it has some of the largest companies in its portfolio such as Microsoft or Google that generated a significant percent of the company’s revenues.
