Microsoft announced on their official blog that the Translator App for Android users will add new features, including the capability to support instant image translation. With this feature, Android users will be able to translate photos instantly from their device that will appear in an overlay above the existing text, with no need to manually add words or phrases.
Image translation feature will be available in the following languages: Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
The update for Microsoft Translator App for Android comes also with a new inline text translation capability that lets users translate text while using the Android phone, including text they are typing into emails, apps or text messages.
