Microsoft Translator now supports Cantonese text translation

Microsoft Translator, the automatic translation service used by lots of global clients, has┬árecently announced that it will support the Cantonese text translation. The Cantonese language (Language Code YUE) is spoken┬áby about 55 million people in China, and more 20 million globally, being available throughout Microsoft Translator’s ecosystem.

According to Microsoft Translator blog, Cantonese will also be available as an instant messaging language in Skype for Windows Desktop, as well as through the Microsoft Translator API, so developers can integrate Cantonese translation into their products and services.

Microsoft Translator already supports Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Vietnamese, and Malay. If interested, the translator service can be downloaded here.
