Microsoft launched last year Windows App Studio and it enabled users and skilled developers to create apps in an easier and simple way. According to the company, more than two million users have created around 1 million app projects and published 55,000 apps in the platform.
A few days ago, Microsoft has announced the release of Windows App Studio Beta which allows localization in nine new languages including Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian. Besides the support for these additional languages, the app introduces another feature: the option for developers to side-load apps on Windows Phone 8.1 for testing.
Other features added include a new Detail Layout optimized for text, allowing users to change the font size and improve reading in apps, static collections and HTML for a better use in offline mode, data binding in design time or better improvements for the Xamarin PCL profile.
